Our locally curated voco Grand Central stands strong in Glasgow’s city centre, bringing together un-stuffy service and a warm Glasgow welcome to our business and leisure guests alike. 


At Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel we want to deliver a ridiculously personal service to all our guests, whether they are relaxing in our Spa or enjoying sustainably sourced Scottish seafood in our iasg restaurant. 


What do you need to be a Sales and Marketing Executive? You will be responsible for introducing clients and arranging show rounds at the property, selling all of the facilities of the hotels and ensuring high levels of customer service. You will also be responsible for proactive sales, ensuring RFP deadlines and submissions are met, networking events and live or virtual appointments as well as the delivery of new direct and pipeline business in line with hotels business needs and budgeted sales. Part of this role encompasses marketing our Kimpton and voco brands and showcasing what we offer!


So, we are looking for someone who has…



  • Availability to work 40 hours a week across Monday to Friday (office based in voco Grand Central Hotel)

  • A track record of sales achievements with at least 1 years’ experience in the service and hospitality industry is essential for this role. 

  • Strong strategic planning skills, ability to look ahead and strategies in place to support the plans. 

  • Maintains a degree of knowledge of all market segments i.e. corporate, conference in particular

  • Works well under pressure, with minimal supervision and maintain high standards and attention to detail. 

  • Experience working with Microsoft package and Delphi knowledge (desirable) 

  • Demonstrates relevant functional experience and good knowledge of relevant topics and collaboration with other hotel departments 

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to create and distribute compelling content, including social media and newsletters.

  • Assist with creating marketing collateral to support sales events, such as printed leaflets and branded merchandise. 

  • Monitor social media engagement, interacting with our followers and creating a personal experience through social community management.

  • A digital native that's social media savvy, with a finger on the pulse for the latest trends.
