Summary:

This position supports Trident’s HR Managers and Recruiters with administration of the employee lifecycle for employees, including Spanish-speaking employees. Reporting to the Sr HR Operations Manager, and a key partner of the HR Operations Team, a successful candidate will be an approachable trusted member of the department, with excellent written and verbal communications skills, self-starting, and possess a commitment to excellence.  A constant desire to learn will be key measures of success in this position.

  • Provides excellent customer service as the first point of contact for callers and in-person visitors to the HR department. A positive, helpful attitude is required at all times.
  • Provides information via telephone, email, and in-person about job opportunities, application status, company facilities, and work environment to active and potential applicants.
  • Performs as a member of the HR Operations team, exhibiting a high degree of knowledge and expertise in all pre- and post-employment processes such as: Applicant Tracking System, pre-employment screening systems and requirements, DOT and non-DOT random drug screening, unemployment verification, I-9 management
  • Assists with performing and/or coordinating all aspects of the pre-employment process e.g. drug screens, criminal background checks, medical questionnaires, onboarding.
  • Updates results of pre-employment screening steps accurately and concisely in Trident’s Applicant Tracking System.
  • Assists with filing, record management, and other HR and HRIS administrative duties. Prepares, organizes, and indexes files to be scanned into online data storage system.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $27 to $31.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience in human resources
  • Proficient in Spanish is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and other HR software

Preferred education and experience:

  • Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws and best practices
  • Respond to and route incoming calls, visitors, email and mail appropriately
  • 1 year of experience with customer service at least 50% of time
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities

Work Environment:

This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote work on Monday and Friday and in-office in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for long periods, often sitting at a desk in an office environment. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.  During visits to production locations the employee will need normal vision and hearing to safely navigate the production floors and warehouse.  The employee moves objects occasionally up to 25 pounds.
